Seven-year-old girl found safe after wandering away from home

A search for a missing seven-year-old girl had a happy ending early Monday morning.

RCMP say the child, who was non-verbal, left her home on the Ochapowace First Nation last night around 7 p.m  and did not return.

Local volunteers, community members along with RCMP detachments from Indian Head, Moosomin and Esterhazy all took part in the search for the girl as did the the RCMP’s unmanned aerial vehicle and the air support unit from the Saskatoon police.

The girl was found around 5 a.m.  She is said to be safe and sound.
