A 21-year-old man has been charged in connection to a fatal hit and run that took place Friday night in Regina’s Warehouse District.

Police were called to the area of 6th Avenue and Hamilton Street on Friday night, where a 67-year-old woman from Regina was struck by a vehicle while crossing the street. The woman was transported to hospital by EMS, but later died from her injuries.

Police were able to locate the vehicle and suspect on Monday.

21-year-old Tyrell Hume of Regina is charged with failure to stop after collision resulting in death. Hume appeared in court Monday evening.

Regina Police say the investigation is ongoing. The name of the woman will not be released by police at this time.
