Environment Canada says a number of heat records were smashed in Saskatchewan on Saturday as the temperature went above the 30 degree mark in many centers.
In all, 17 places in the province including Regina and Moose Jaw saw the record beat. Regina saw the temperature get up to 33,3 degrees celsius which broke the previous record of 31.8 degrees set in 1981.
In Moose Jaw, the temperature hit 33.4 degrees breaking a record that was also set in 1981.
Some of the other places in the province to break records were Saskatoon, Weyburn, Yorkton and Nipawin.
