Seven deaths; 472 new cases of COVID-19 in Saskatchewan

The province is telling us about seven more COVID-19 related deaths on Friday to go along with 472 new cases.  The active case count is now at 4,234 with 291 of them in the Regina zone.

The new cases are located in the Far North West (16), Far North East (26), North West (60), North Central (27), North East (23), Saskatoon (80), Central West (9), Central East (24), Regina (54), South West (27), South Central (34) and South East (46) zones and 46 new cases have pending residence information.  91 of the cases are in kids 0-11. Out of the 472 cases, 383 are in people who are unvaccinated.

Hospitalizations keep going up with 223 now receiving virus-related care. 50 of those 223 are in the ICU with the province saying 165 of those are people not fully vaccinated.

Almost 3,300 vaccines were received on Thursday with 1,560 going to people who are getting their first dose.  The province says over 714,000 people are fully vaccinated
