With 449 Sask. sets provincial record for most new COVID-19 cases in one day

Saskatchewan is reporting 449 new COVID-19 cases and four new deaths. Those are the COVID-19 numbers coming from the provincial government on Monday.

The 449 new cases are a single one-day high, breaking the old record of 441, which was set November 20, 2020, when 441 cases were announced.  The four deaths bring the provincial total to 625.

The active case count is now at 3,776.

Of the 449 new cases, Saskatoon again reported the most with 105, followed by the North West Zone with 102, the North Central Zone with 43, Far North West with 40, North East 38, Far North East 19, Regina 13, South East 11, South West 11, South Central 9, Central East 9, Central West 6, and Far North Central 0.

Of the 449 new cases, the province says 387 cases are from people who are not fully vaccinated.
