Melfort RCMP investigating fatal collision on Highway #6

The Melfort RCMP are investigating a fatal vehicle collision that occurred on Highway #6 early Sunday morning.

At about 12:30 am, Melfort RCMP were dispatched to the scene of the collision which occurred 10 kms north of Watson.

The investigation has determined that a minivan collided with a truck towing a boat on a trailer.

A 43 year old man from Spalding was the lone occupant of the minivan. A 42 year old man from Melfort along with a 35 year old man from Pickerel Lake were the occupants of the truck. All three were declared deceased on the scene.

Highway 6 was closed off for several hours after the initial investigation. Melfort RCMP and a Saskatchewan RCMP traffic reconstructionist continue to investigate.
