If you happen to notice a large truck convoy this morning, it’s likely Special Olympics Saskatchewan raising money for local special Olympians.
The convoy departed at 8:00.
Spokesperson Sara England says there route will take them across the bypass.
“We’re starting out at the Turvey Centre, then we’re going to be hitting the major bypass that was built a few years ago,” said England. “So, we’re taking the whole route around starting west, coming back east and heading back to the Turvey Centre for one last victory lap for the truck drivers.”
England says a convoy will also be riding in Saskatoon today.
A virtual convoy is also taking place, truckers are encouraged to share photos and videos from around the province by tagging Special Olympics Saskatchewan on their social media pages.
This is the 15th year Special Olympics Saskatchewan has organized the convoys.
