There are 432 new cases of COVID-19 in Saskatchewan Friday, the second-highest daily total since the pandemic began.
Nov. 21, 2020 holds the record with 441 according to the provincial government COVID-19 dashboard.
Friday’s new cases come from Saskatoon (93), the north west (77), the north central (69), Regina (31), the far north west (22), the far north east (20), the south east (20), the north east (18), the central east (18), the south central (eight), the south west (four), and the far north central (four).
Over one-third (34.3 percent) in the 19 and under age category. 10 percent of the new cases were in fully vaccinated individuals.
The seven-day average of daily new cases is up to 366. Another death in connection to COVID-19 has been reported, bringing the death toll up to 617.
There are 273 people who have recovered from COVID-19, but the active case count is still up to 3,573. This is the highest active case count since January.
There are 190 people in hospital with COVID-19, including 39 in ICU.
Another 3,750 new COVID-19 tests were processed Thursday.
On a positive note, the province is nearing 1.5 million vaccines delivered. Another 2,856 doses have been issued, including 1,269 first doses. A total of 1,495,955 doses have been administered across the province, and 705,775 have been fully vaccinated.
