Riders announce details on proof of vaccine policy for home games

With one week to go before the Saskatchewan Roughriders mandate proof of vaccine for fans attending home games, the organization has announced the details on the new policy at Mosaic Stadium.

Fans over the age of 12 will be required to verify they have received two doses of vaccine by showing a record available through the MySaskHealthRecord, the immunization wallet card, or out of province and/or country proof of vaccination certificate.

A negative PCR test from an SHA testing site or a rapid antigen test from a certified clinic (at the ticketholder’s expense) that is taken within 72 hours of the game will also be accepted for fans 12 and older.

Those fans older than 18 will also need to show photo ID as well as their vaccination record or negative COVID-19 test result.

The Riders are making it known that they will not be storing the personal health information or vaccination records, and it is a visual verification process only. Verification will be happening before entering the ticket or bag check line. Gates will now open two hours before kickoff.
