Regina Police are looking into an attempted murder after an incident Thursday morning.

Around 5:30 am, police responded to a residence on the 1300 block of Athol Street for a report of an injured man.

When police arrived they found a man with a serious injury to his neck. He is now in stable condition at hospital.

The victim told police he was walking on the 1400 block of Montague Street when he was approached by two men. An altercation occurred and one of the men assaulted the victim with what is believed to be a knife.
