Regina Liberal candidate has dog feces thrown at him while on campaign trail

The Liberal candidate in Ralph Goodale’s old riding of Regina-Wascana has gone to Twitter to talk about harassment he experienced on the campaign trail this week.

Sean McEachern says while doing door-knocking Thursday afternoon in the south end, he and a campaign worker were subjected to 45 minutes of harassment from a person who had a Conservative lawn sign on their property.

McEachern, who talks about the incident on his Twitter account, says the person blocked his car from leaving the area and threw dog feces at the windshield.

Regina Police say they did attend to an incident in the city’s south end on Thursday afternoon that matched McEachern’s description.  An investigation into what happened is underway, but no charges have been filed at this time.

MacEachern called what happened “an unnerving experience”.
