Regina man charged after hunting equipment stolen in Harbour Landing

Police have charged a 29-year-old Regina man after hunting equipment was stolen from a truck on Saturday afternoon.

Police were called to the 4900 block of Gordon Road in Harbour Landing, around 12:45 p.m. where a firearm, ammunition, three compound hunting bows, hunting equipment and clothing were all taken.

A suspect was arrested Saturday evening on the 1800 block of Alexandra Street, officers say he was bitten by a police dog in the process and taken to hospital by EMS for treatment.

The suspects vehicle was then located on the 1900 block of Connaught Street, where police say a significant amount of the stolen property was recovered.

As a result 29-year-old Andrew Johnthon Pelltier, has been charged with three counts of theft over $5,000 and two counts of possession of a firearm or ammunition.

Pelltier made his first court appearance yesterday.
