COVID-19 related deaths in Saskatchewan hit the 600 mark

The province has hit another grim milestone when it comes to the battle against COVID-19 as more than 600 people have died as a result of the virus.

In Monday’s update from the province, it was announced there were three new deaths and 199 new cases.

The new cases are located in the Far North West (8), Far North Central (3), Far North East (14), North West (32), North Central (22), North East (14), Saskatoon (62), Central West (4), Central East (3), Regina (8), South West (2), South Central (2) and South East (8) zones.  The active case count now sits at 2.068

A total of 111 people are in hospital with 27 of those in the ICU.   Of the 111 patients, 80 (72.1%) were not fully vaccinated

1,173 doses of vaccine were delivered Sunday. 722 of those vaccines went to people who have now had both shots and are fully vaccinated.
