Saskatchewan records 258 new cases of COVID-19 Friday, highest total since May

There are 258 new cases of COVID-19 today, the highest single-day total since May 8th.

61 of the new cases are in Saskatoon, 36 are in the north central, and 29 are in the far north east. 13 new cases are in Regina.

Two more people have died after testing positive for COVID-19, bringing the death toll to 596.

105 people have recovered. The active case count is up to 1,753.

97 people are in hospital with COVID-19, including 22 in ICU.

Another 2,822 doses of COVID vaccines were administered, including 1,138 first doses.
