Tornado advisories in place for east-central Saskatchewan

UPDATE: The tornado warnings have since ended, but as of 4:50 PM Tuesday evening, funnel cloud advisories remain in effect for several areas of central Saskatchewan.

Environment Canada is reporting there is a storm making it’s way east that has the potential to create funnel clouds. One was reportedly spotted outside of Ituna just after 3:00 on Tuesday afternoon.

Funnel cloud advisories are also in effect for an area stretching from Lumsden to the Manitoba border, including Fort Qu’Appelle, Yorkton, Melville, Kamsack, Humboldt, and Watrous.

Environment Canada says the advisories are expected to lift Tuesday evening.
