RPS arrest second person in connection to murder of Jason Bird

A second person has been charged in connection to Regina’s eight homicide of 2021.

In the early morning of July 15, RPS officers were dispatched to the 800 block of Princess Street for a report of an injured man, who was later identified as 33-year-old Jason Bird. Bird later succumbed to his injuries.

Police have now arrested two people in this case.

32-year-old Okimaw Russell Night-Fox has been charged with first-degree murder, and the possession of a firearm contrary to a prohibition order.

Night-Fox mad his first court appearance Wednesday morning.
