Fraser Tolmie expected to step down as Moose Jaw’s Mayor Tuesday night

Moose Jaw City Council is holding a special meeting on Tuesday, where it’s expected Fraser Tolmie will step down as the city’s Mayor.

Tolmie is running for the Conservatives in the upcoming federal election in the Moose Jaw-Lake-Centre Lanigan riding.

After being nominated Tomie said he would step down as Moose Jaw’s mayor once the federal election was called, not waiting to see if he wins the riding.

It is not known who will serve as Acting Mayor at this time.
