Masters gets a lot of help in recording video after losing second-dose challenge to Saskatoon’s mayor

Regina Mayor Sandra Masters has paid up.

After winning a first-dose challenge with her Saskatoon counterpart, Charlie Clark, a second challenge was issued by Clark on those getting second-doses in the province’s two main cities.

Clark won that challenge meaning Masters had to lip-sync a song.

She chose to do “It Takes Two” by Rob Base and DJ EZ Rock and she got a lot of help in doing so.

As of Monday morning, Saskatchewan Health Authority numbers indicate that Regina is 70.66% fully vaccinated.

“I would still like to see 85% double vaccination in Regina. The goal is to keep everyone as safe as possible, so we need everyone 12 and older to get a double dose of the vaccine.” Masters said ina  release.

During the friendly July challenge between the two cities, 121,875 doses of the vaccine were given.

The City of Regina is working with the SHA to provide citizens with a convenient way to get vaccinated, whether it’s their first or second dose. Regina residents can check Regina.ca/COVID19 for dates and times of find pop-up vaccine clinics at Regina’s outdoor pools, where each vaccination comes with a free pass to the Queen City Ex.
