Fort Qu’Appelle man facing first degree murder charges in connection to Regina’s eighth homicide of 2021

Regina Police have made an arrest in the murder of 33-year-old Jason Bird.

The death investigation began on July 15 when police were called to the 800 block of Princess Street where an injured man was located. EMS took the victim — later to be identified as Jason Bird — to hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.

As a result of the investigation, 27-year-old Terrance Desnomie of the Fort Qu’Appelle district was arrested on Wednesday. He is charged with first degree murder, possession of property obtained by crime, breach of release order and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

Desnomie appeared in court Friday morning.
