More information given on Friday’s fatal motorcycle crash west of Regina

RCMP are providing a little more information on a crash west of Regina that took the life of a motorcyclist Friday afternoon on Highway 1 at the overpass.

RCMP say the 40-year-old man was declared dead at the scene when paramedics arrived despite the attempts of some to perform life-saving measures.  An initial investigation shows the motorcycle left the road, entered the ditch and rolled.

In another incident at approximately the same time on Friday evening, Canora RCMP responded to a fatal single vehicle collision on a grid road just off of Highway 9 near Endeavour, SK.

Witnesses observed the vehicle in the ditch with smoke coming from it. The 60-year-old male driver and sole occupant of the vehicle was removed and CPR was attempted until paramedics arrived, but he was declared dead at the scene

A preliminary investigation determined the vehicle left the grid road and entered a culvert.
