Woman accused in RCMP officer manslaughter appears in court

A Winnipeg woman facing charges, including Manslaughter, in the death of an Indian Head RCMP officer, has appeared in court again.

In Regina Provincial Court Thursday morning, 42-year-old Marlene Pagee has been remanded in custody for her next court date on September 2nd.

Her co-accused, 41-year-old Alphonse Traverse, also of Winnipeg, will appear in Regina Court on August 23rd.

On the morning of June 12th, Constable Shelby Patton stopped a truck in Wolseley, and while Patton was out of his vehicle, the truck allegedly ran him over.

The vehicle, which was reported stolen from Manitoba, was later found in a field near Francis, and two suspects were taken into custody.
