Regina man charged in connection with Tuesday bank robbery

A Regina man is facing charges after robbing a bank Tuesday morning.

Just before 11:00 am, police responded to a bank on the 5800 block of Rochdale Boulevard for a report of a robbery.

It is believed a man walked into the bank and demanded money from the staff, eventually getting away with an undisclosed amount of money and was seen getting into a vehicle and leaving the bank.

Through investigation, police were able to identify the man believed to be the suspect in the area of 7th Avenue and McIntyre Street. He was suffering from an unrelated medical issue and was transported by EMS to hospital.

Once he was released from hospital, he was taken into custody and charged.

As a result, 36-year-old Adrian Southwind has been charged with robbery, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, and failure to comply with probation order.

Police are still looking for a female who was seen inside the vehicle at the time of the robbery.
