Don’t bring peanuts or sunflower seeds to a Rider game

Rider fans will want to look at this before going to a game this year as the team is updating its list of what can be brought into the stadium.

Blowhorns, sunflower seeds and peanuts will no longer be allowed.  Other things you can’t bring in include:

  • Outside Alcohol
  • Non-prescription drugs
  • Any non-clear bag including backpacks, coolers, or containers
  • Rods, dowels, hockey sticks and golf ball retrievers
  • Any object in security’s opinion that may be used as a weapon including all knives
  • Signs which obstruct stadium pageantry or signage
  • Using unmanned aircraft systems (drones) unless authorized by the Saskatchewan Roughrider Club
  • Umbrellas
  • Selfie sticks
  • Outside drinks of any sort, except those indicated in the permitted items section
  • Full face masks such as Halloween masks

When it comes to bags, the team says  “clear bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12″ x 6″ x 12, clear plastic freezer bags (Ziploc bags or similar) not exceeding 12″ x 6″ x 12″ and small clutch bags, approximately the size of a hand, (not exceeding 4.5”x6.5”) with or without a handle or strap can be taken into the stadium with one of the clear plastic bags.”

Exceptions will be made for medical reasons.

The official list of what can and can’t be brought into the facility can be found here.
