The west bound lanes of the Trans-Canada just east of Mortlach are reopen to traffic.

The portion of the roadway had been closed for most of Wednesday afternoon and evening due to a serious motor vehicle accident about two kilometers east of the community.

RCMP did not say if there were any fatalities or injuries.

Mortlach is approximately 44 kilometers west of Moose Jaw along Highway 1.
