Young woman dead after collision with bus in Carrot River

On Sunday morning, around 2:30 am, Carrot River RCMP responded to a collision just north of the town on Highway #23.

The collision involved a car with a lone driver and a school bus transporting 12 adults from a gathering in the area.

The driver of the car, a 19-year-old female from Carrot River, was pronounced dead on scene. No injuries were reported to the bus driver or passengers.

Alcohol is not believed to be a factor, as the investigation continues.
