With the long-lasting heat all week, a thunderstorm could be in the making for southeast Saskatchewan.
Environment Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for the southeast corner of the province. The weather agency says the storm system has the potential to produce strong winds, heavy rain, and possibly hail.
This comes as the province continues to see heat warnings in effect for all areas south of Prince Albert, and air quality advisories as far south as Saskatoon thanks to the wildfires burning in northern Saskatchewan.
