A fatal rollover near Kindersley could have been much more tragic.

Kindersley RCMP say they attended on a crash on a grid road near Beadle just off of Highway 7 just before midnight Sunday.

An initial investigation shows a vehicle with eight people was travelling northbound on the grid road when it rolled multiple times.

A 25-year-old woman from the Kindersley area was reported dead on scene with two others taken to hospital via STARS in serious condition

The remaining five received varying injuries with some were transported to the local hospital.

A 26-year-old man from Medicine Hat, Alberta faces 18 charges in total including one of impaired driving causing death and five of impaired driving causing bodily harm.  The man, whose name is not being released, appears in court September 21.
