Man charged with bomb threat at Regina Superstore makes court appearance

A 23-year-old Regina man facing seven explosives-related charges in regards to an incident at the Superstore on Prince of Wales Drive on Friday was in court Monday.

Kyle Poag, an employee of the store, was taken into custody after police were called to investigate a bomb threat. That investigation revealed dangerous items being found both inside the store and a vehicle in the parking lot.

Its believed the dangerous items were a pipe bomb and a molotov cocktail.

A mental health assessment has been ordered for Poag who remains in custody until his next appearance Friday.
