RCMP charge two individuals with first-degree murder in Glaslyn death

The Saskatchewan RCMP has charged two people with first-degree murder after a suspicious death in Nov. 2020 in Medstead.

Two inmates at Saskatchewan jails, 27-year-old Jonathan Swiftwolfe and 24-year-old Cassandra Fox, were each charged with one count of first-degree murder.

After arrest warrants were issued, Fox was arrested without incident on July 5 at the Pine Grove Correctional Centre. Swiftwolfe was arrested without incident at the Saskatchewan Penitentiary.

RCMP from Glaslyn and Turtleford responded to a call of a dead man located near a grid road about 30 kilometres southeast of Glaslyn. The man was 54-year-old Bradley Ham of the Saskatoon/Prince Albert/North Battleford areas.

Saskatchewan RCMP’s Major Crimes Unit took over the investigation after it was determined that the death was suspicious. The investigation lasted seven months.

Swiftwolfe appears in court Friday while Fox’s next court appearance is scheduled for Aug. 5 in North Battleford.
