Police at the scene of potential bomb threat in east Regina

Regina Police are at the scene of a potential explosive device in or around the Real Canadian Superstore building on the 2000 block of Prince of Wales Drive, near the corner of Victoria Avenue.

Police were called to the scene just before 11:00 Friday morning. The building in question has been evacuated, as has the parking lot in the area.

The Explosive Disposal Unit has also been called to the scene.

Police have closed eastbound and westbound lanes of Victoria Avenue from Prince of Wales Drive to Quance Gate and Eastgate Drive.

The public has been advised to avoid the area at this time. More details on the incident are expected Friday afternoon.
