113 new cases of COVID-19 in Saskatchewan, highest daily case number since mid-June

113 new cases of COVID-19 have been announced in Saskatchewan, the highest case count since June 12th.

The rise in cases is attributed to the declared outbreak in Hatchet Lake.

58 of the new cases are in the Far North East, the next highest case number is in Saskatoon with 16, followed by Regina with 12.

48, 167 people have recovered from the coronavirus and 415 cases are considered active.

62 people are in hospital, including 51 receiving inpatient care, and 11 in intensive care.

An additional 13,314 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been given in Saskatchewan, bringing the total number of vaccines administered in the province to 1,260,567.
