Tornado warning out for parts of SW Saskatchewan

It could be a wild night weather-wise in Saskatchewan’s southwest.

Environment Canada has issued a tornado warning for the Maple Creek-Shaunavon-Cypress Hills and Val Marie regions.

The weather office says it is tracking a severe thunderstorm that could result in a tornado with damaging winds, large hail and locally intense rainfall.

As of 4:30 Tuesday afternoon, the southwest corner of the province was the only part where severe weather was happening but that could change as the night goes on.

A list of what areas are under watches and warnings can be found here.
