SaskWater reports earnings of 7.9 million dollars in past year

 

SaskWater’s annual report points to reliable service during the past year despite challenges due to the pandemic.

The corporation earned 7.9 million dollars this past year, with a dividend of 6.26 million going to the province.

Major projects this past year include a 9.4 million expansion of SaskWater’s regional treatment plant in Melfort and the 3.4 million dollar expansion of the Pierceland wastewater lagoon.

Other initiatives include a new water pipeline for Edenwold and pipeline replacement for the Saskatoon East potable water supply.

SaskWater currently owns 10 water treatment plants, three wastewater facilities, 140 kilometers of canal and 942 kilometers of pipeline.
