Traffic stop results in weapons, drugs charges for four Reginans

Four Reginans were arrested on Sunday after a traffic stop led to weapons and drugs charges.

The Regina Police Service says its officers noticed a vehicle at 6:00 a.m. on July 5 at the intersection of Lewvan Drive and Dewdney Avenue that was registered to a driver who was not in possession of a valid license. Police brought the vehicle to a stop on the 1400 block of Edward Street.

Four people were in the vehicle. The driver, 37-year-old Daniel Pechawis, was listed as a prohibited driver Canada-wide. During his arrest, officers located firearm ammunition in the vehicle, leading to the arrests of 30-year-old Roxanne Franko, 27-year-old Timothy Muldoon and 19-year-old Wyatt Duboius.

Police later found a gun, more ammunition, cocaine and a large amount of Canadian money during a search of the vehicle.

All four accused made their first appearance on Monday morning.
