Tamra Keepness disappeared from her home 17 years ago Monday.

The five-year-old — originally from the Whitebear First Nation — was last seen in her home on the 1800 block of Ottawa Street in Regina. Her disappearance made national news headlines.

In 2014, Regina Police doubled the reward for Keepness’ whereabouts to $50,000.

Before COVID-19, Regina Police would also hold a barbecue every year in honour of Keepness.
