Kamsack man arrested on Canada wide warrant

Kamsack RCMP say a man was arrested on a Canada wide warrant while police were responding to an unrelated call.

Officers responded to an unrelated complaint on Keeseekoose First Nation Sunday night around 6:00 p.m. when they observed a man who was known to be on a Canada wide warrant for a breach of parole.

The man initially fled and was located and arrested at a multi-residential unit nearby without further incident.

Twenty-year-old Chase Quewezance has been charged with resist/obstruct peace officer, unauthorized possession of a firearm, and possess weapon contrary to order.

Quewezance appeared in court on June 28, 2021.
