Weapons charges laid after fight breaks out between two groups of men

Regina Police say a man was seriously injured after being stabbed Saturday afternoon during a fight between two groups of men.

Officers were called to a residence on the 2300 block of Lindsay street around 5:30 p.m., after a group of men working in a backyard got into a fight with another group of three men who were walking in the alley behind the yard.

The men in the alley produced a knife and two firearms during the fight.

The three suspects from the alley fled the scene prior to police arrival, but were later arrested on the 100 block of College Avenue East.

Twenty-three-year-old Brayden Lambert has been charged with aggravated assault and assault with a weapon, along with failing to comply with a release order.

Nineteen-year-old Kanaan Lambert has been charged with offences that include possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and carrying a concealed weapon.

Lastly, 28-year-old Brandon Racette has been charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and pointing a firearm.

No charges were laid on the group of men that were working in the backyard.

All three accused will be in court Monday morning.
