Regina Police say a 57-year-old man is facing multiple weapons charges, after allegedly shooting at four kids from his front deck Saturday night.

Officers were called to a residence on the 1500 block of Regent Street in the Glenelm neighborhood shortly after 9:30 p.m. where neighbors said they had heard what they believed were two gun shots.

Upon arrival officers located the suspect sitting on the front deck of a house, he was talked down to the sidewalk and arrested.

A .22 caliber rifle and an airsoft gun were both located at the scene, police say a number of :blank” rounds were located near the .22.

The suspect, 57-year-old Vasile Tatar, has been charged with four counts of assault with a weapon, careless storage of a firearm, and unauthorized possession of a firearm.

Tatar will make his first court appearance on August 18th.
