Regina Police has launched an investigation into the death of a woman.

On Saturday, just before 9:45 pm, police were dispatched to a residence on the 100 block of Vernon Crescent in regard to an injured woman.

EMS responded to the scene, and determined the woman was beyond help. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

No further details are available as the investigation is in its early stages.
