Regina Police say a 20-year-old man is facing multiple weapons related offences after assaulting multiple people with a weapon near Value Village on Broad Street Wednesday afternoon.

Officers were called to the 1200 block of Broad around 1:15 p.m. where they located multiple victims, all with minor injuries.

Twenty-year-old Shandel Justice Rope, was arrested and faces two counts of assault with a weapon, uttering threats, failing to comply with a probation order, and failing to comply with release conditions.

Rope made his first court appearance Thursday morning.
