56 new cases of COVID-19 in Saskatchewan; 52 more recoveries

56 new cases of COVID-19 have been announced in Saskatchewan, bringing the provincial total to 48,646 cases.

The majority of the new cases come from Saskatoon with 16, followed by Regina with 9, and the Central East with 7.

47,472 people have recovered from the virus, and 609 cases are considered active.

78 people are in hospital, including 66 receiving inpatient care, and 12 people are in intensive care.

An additional 20,988 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been given in Saskatchewan, bringing the total number of vaccines administered in the province to 1,069,657.
