52 new cases of COVID-19 in Saskatchewan; 55 new recoveries

The Government of Saskatchewan has confirmed another 52 new cases of COVID-19 in the province, bringing the provincial total to 48,590 cases.

Saskatoon and the North West zone are tied for the most new cases with 10 each, followed by Regina with 9.

47,420 people have recovered from the coronavirus and 605 cases are considered active.

76 people are in hospital including 62 people receiving inpatient care, and 14 people are in intensive care. 5 of those are in Regina.

An additional 24,971 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been given in Saskatchewan, bringing the total number of vaccines administered in the province to 1,048,669.
