Two retirements hit Riders

Riders fans were caught off-guard Monday with two players retiring.

Defensive End & special teamer Chad Geter is retiring after three CFL seasons. He is going to pursue a career in the Air Force.

Offensive Lineman Braden Schram is also leaving after three seasons. He played in 10 games for the Riders in 2019.

The team announced the signing three players. Second-round draft pick WR Terrell Jana, Global Draft pick K Henry Nell, and American WR Ricardo Louis.

The Riders also announced they have released four players:
Canadian LB Blair Smith
Canadian DL Mathieu Breton
Global OL Rene Brassea
Global WR Max Zimmerman

Riders training camp is set to begin July 10 in Regina.
