Saskatchewan RCMP investigating two highway collisions Friday

RCMP are investigating two serious collisions on Saskatchewan’s Highways Friday afternoon.

Wynyard RCMP are at the scene of a collision between a semi truck and a passenger vehicle on Highway #16 just west of Kandahar. Both lanes have been blocked off and detours have been set up.

The adult male semi driver was taken to hospital as a precaution. The lone driver of the car, an adult man, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Wynyard RCMP and an RCMP Collision Reconstructionist continue to investigate.

Lumsden RCMP are also attending to a single-vehicle collision on Highway #734 towards Deer Valley. Lumsden Fire Department issued a tweet saying the vehicle in question is a motorcycle.

The Highway is closed, and a detour has been set up. Officers are directing traffic.
