As of 8 AM Thursday morning, those 45 and over or those who received their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine on or before May 1 will be eligible for their second shot.
The information comes as the province announces 74 new cases and two new deaths. The people who have died were someone aged 80 plus in the northwest zone and someone in their 70’s from the east-central zone. There are five new variants of concern that have been screened.
The new cases are located in the following zones: Far North West, 1; North West, 4; North Central, 5; North East, 4; Saskatoon, 16; Central West, 4; Central East, 6; Regina, 29; South West, 1; South Central, 1; and South East, 3.
The total of those in hospital now sits at 92 with 12 of those in intensive care including four in Regina.
The seven-day average of new cases is at 72 which is the lowest it has been since November 1, 2020
Just over 12,000 vaccines were delivered on Tuesday.
