An investigation has started after a two-year-old girl died after falling down a flight of stairs where she received serious injuries.

In a release, Regina police say they were called to a home on the 2300 block of Retallack Street, in the Cathedral Area, on June 9.

The child was taken to hospital and then airlifted to Saskatoon, but she died Sunday morning.

The death is under investigation by the Regina Children’s Justice Center and the Saskatchewan Coroners Service
