Regina Catholic students will have to live at least 1.2 kilometres away by roadway next year if they want to take the bus to school.

The change comes as the school division looks for savings after a pandemic year in 2020.

The motion was passed last Monday.

The change will affect around 1,000 students, Regina Catholic says all those affected will be contacted.

Regina Catholic says the move will result in about a million dollars in savings per year.
