Friday’s rainfall totals 55mm in one of Regina’s wettest days on record

Environment Canada says just under 55 mm of rain fell in the Queen City yesterday, most of that occurring between 7:00 and 9:00 am Friday morning.

Luckily for Regina, the wet weather seems to be behind us as the forecast is calling for nothing but hot, sunny days over the next week, with Tuesday’s high expected to be in the mid-30s.

City crews worked overnight to clean and clear flooded roads, and they say most roads should be back to normal sometime this afternoon.

Until then, the city is asking residents to avoid flooded areas as the water could be dangerous.
