A field hospital that had been set up in Regina at the International Trade Centre is being decommssioned.

The Saskatchewan Health Authority says it has reached the point where they can start decommission the field hospital here and at Merlis Belsher Place in Saskatoon and return them to their owners for use this summer.

The hospitals were created to support an increased volume of COVID-positve patients and would have served as an extension of the system. Each had the ability if used to support between 300-650 patients.
