The Regina Police Service has launched a death investigation after a pedestrian struck by a semi truck has died.

The incident happened on the morning of May 31, 2021 when a 68-year-old woman was hit at the intersection of Prince of Wales Drive and Victoria Avenue East. EMS transported her to hospital following the collision.

Police say they will not be releasing the name of the victim. The investigation is ongoing in conjunction with the Saskatchewan Coroners Service.

RPS says anyone who has information to assist police is asked to contact the Regina Police Service or Crime Stoppers.
